Manual Labor

Allison and the boys are up at Janet's camper on the lake this weekend. Allison has promised an assortment of pictures for the blog. I'm sure they will be of much higher quality than the stuff you normally have to put up with around here.

This weekend I've occupied myself hanging out with some friends, catching up on cleaning, and working on the main floor bathroom. The bathroom ceiling paint has been cracking and peeling for some time now, so I've been working on scraping it so I can repaint it. It went very fast at first, since I started where the peeling was the worst. It slowed down quickly, however, when I got to the parts that are just cracking or starting to crack.

This project suddenly doesn't seem like such a good idea. I went from thinking I would have it scraped and primed today to wondering if I will be done scraping today. How come home improvement projects never go faster than you think they will?

I can't help but wonder how many hours I would have had to work at my old job to pay someone else to do this project. :-)

Just Wondering, does the camper have a bunk?

Hi Spencer,

The camper is a bigger one that stays at the campgrounds year round. It has a bedroom, a bathroom, and a pull-out couch in the little living room. No bunks, though!
