Madison - Day 2

After breakfast today, we visited the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. I really enjoyed it. (The boys were less impressed.) They had some excellent displays and it was extremely well done. If you are ever in Madison, I recommend checking it out.

After the boring museum, we went to the Madison Children's museum. This was a big hit. Lots of fun stuff. You could tell it was good, because almost every child under age eight in the greater Madison area was there.

We had lunch back at the hotel on the lakeside pier. It was fun watching the people sailboarding and para-sailing. It took forever to get our food, but the waiter made up for it with free ice cream treats. Woo hoo!

We had a quiet afternoon with naps and a trip to a nearby park. The kids requested Pizzeria Uno again, so that's where we went for dinner. Thursday was a little busier on State Street than Monday.

Now the kids are in bed and we are enjoying a quiet evening while getting ready to leave tomorrow. There's a band playing out on the pier underneath our window. Too bad we don't have a balcony... :-(
