Update

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. As I warned you, all the other writing I've been trying to do has drained my will to blog.

Here's a quick update on what's going on here.

Nick is into the school routine and things are going well. He has his first spelling test on Thursday. He also started Cub Scouts last night, which was a big hit. He's incredibly excited foe all of the activities they have planned, including some ominous sounding thing called "winter camp." Yes, a parent needs to go with each kid, so yours truly will be attending, too. Fortunately winter camp involves heated cabins. Woo-hoo!

Xander is doing a two-hour preschool four days a week. We're mainly doing this for social reasons, because the kid has some shy tendencies. It's going well and he's enjoying it.

Gotta run and get Nick to school. Today is Xander's off day, so we're going to the Science Museum. Should be fun; there's a new Omnitheater movie called "Mystery of the Great Lakes"
that I'm excited to see. Xander has shown the ability to sit through an Omnitheater movie, so it should work out.
